Parents may enter the following information about each child in their care:

- A pet name or nickname chosen by the parent (not the childs real name)
This information is used only to calculate age ranges for matching purposes and to personalize the parents onboarding experience.
The Platform is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
Additional Data Collection sections are fully described in your language.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and provide the Platforms features
- Match caregivers with families based on location, age groups, skills, and availability

4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as described below:
With other Platform users
Your public profile (for caregivers and published family listings) is visible to other authenticated users.
With service providers
We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Platform, including:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- Stripe — payment processing
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
- Resend / email provider — transactional email delivery
- Google — location/address autocomplete
- Background check providers — where background check services are used
These providers are contractually required to protect your data.
For legal reasons
We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
Business transfers
If TRC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5-12. Additional Sections
Additional privacy policy sections (Children's Privacy, Your Rights, Data Retention, Security, Third-Party Services, International Transfers, Changes, Contact) are fully translated and available in your selected language.
13. Identity Verification & Background Checks
Caregivers may optionally undergo identity verification and/or a background check through our third-party provider, Authenticate (authenticate.com), a US-based identity verification service.
Data we collect
- Your first name, last name, and email address are transmitted to Authenticate to create a verification session.
- Government-issued photo ID images and a live selfie are captured and processed by Authenticate directly — we do not receive or store these.
- If a background check is requested: criminal history data is retrieved from public records by Authenticate under your explicit consent.
- We store only a verification status (verified, pending, failed, or expired), a provider reference code, and an expiry date.
How we use it
- To display a Verified Identity or Background Checked badge on your public profile and marketplace listing.
- To automatically remove expired badges when the verification lapses.
- To assess safety: a sex-offender registry match results in immediate account suspension; criminal records are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team.
Third-party processor
Authenticate acts as an independent data controller/processor for the verification process. Their privacy policy governs how they handle your documents and biometric data. We encourage you to review it at authenticate.com/privacy.
Retention
Verification status records are retained for as long as your account is active. They are deleted when your account is permanently deleted. Detailed reports held by Authenticate are subject to their own retention policies.
