Welcome to The Raising Club. Please read these Terms carefully before using our platform. By creating an account or using any part of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use The Raising Club.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using The Raising Club, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms at any time. Your continued use of The Raising Club following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise stated, The Raising Club owns the intellectual property rights for all material on the platform. All intellectual property rights are reserved. You may access this for your personal use subject to restrictions set in these terms and conditions.

You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service without express written permission by The Raising Club.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password information.
  • You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You agree not to use The Raising Club for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • You agree to comply with all laws, rules and regulations applicable to your use of the Service.
  • You agree not to transmit any harmful or malicious code through the Service.

    • 4. User Roles and Conduct

    The Raising Club serves multiple user roles. Each role has specific responsibilities:

  • Parents and guardians are responsible for the accuracy of information provided about children in their care and for using the platform responsibly to find trusted childcare solutions.
  • Caregivers and educators must provide accurate information about their qualifications, experience, and availability. You agree not to misrepresent your background or credentials.
  • Organizations must comply with all applicable employment and childcare regulations and are responsible for their staff's conduct on the platform.
  • The Raising Club administrators maintain the platform and enforce these terms. Admins may remove content or ban users who violate these terms.

    • All users agree not to harass, threaten, defame, or abuse other users. The Raising Club reserves the right to remove abusive content and suspend or terminate accounts.

    5. Content Moderation and Removal

    The Raising Club does not pre-screen all content but reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms, is harmful, illegal, or inappropriate.

    If you believe content on The Raising Club violates these terms or is inappropriate, please report it to safety@theraisingclub.com with details of the violation.

    6. Age Restrictions and Children's Privacy

    Important: The Raising Club is not intended for users under 18. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children's interactions with caregivers found through the platform.

    We take the privacy of children very seriously. Children's personal information is protected, and parents/guardians must provide explicit consent for any data collection.

    If you are a parent, you agree to provide accurate information about your children and to supervise their interactions with caregivers.

    7. Limitation of Liability

    The Raising Club, including its owners, employees, and partners, will not be liable for damages of any kind arising from the use of this site, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.

    The Raising Club does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

    We provide the service on an "as-is" basis. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

    8. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Raising Club from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

    This includes any claims by other users related to your conduct on the platform.

    9. Third-Party Links

    The Raising Club may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these external sites.

    Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to their terms and conditions.

    We do not endorse any third-party websites or their content.

    Please review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites before providing personal information.

    10. Modifications to Service

    The Raising Club reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service with or without notice.

    We are not liable to you or any third party for any modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations of the service.

    We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of significant changes.

    11. Termination of Account

    The Raising Club may terminate your account and access to the service without notice if you violate these terms.

  • You may request to deactivate your account at any time through the settings.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ceases.
  • All data in your account remains subject to our Privacy Policy.
  • Provisions that logically should survive termination will survive.

    • 12. Payments and Billing

    Some features of The Raising Club may require payment. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your account.

  • You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account.
  • Refunds are issued according to our refund policy.
  • Prices may change at any time. We will notify you of significant price changes.

    • 13. Background Checks

    Caregivers may undergo background checks through third-party providers. By registering as a caregiver, you consent to these checks.

  • Background check results are private and shared only with you and families who request care.
  • False information or criminal history may result in account termination.
  • Background check accuracy is the responsibility of the third-party provider.
  • You have the right to dispute or correct background check information.
  • The Raising Club is not liable for background check errors or omissions.
  • Background checks are not a guarantee of safety. Parents and organizations must exercise due diligence.

    • 14. Dispute Resolution

    If you have a dispute with another user, please report it to support@theraisingclub.com with details.

    The Raising Club will attempt to mediate disputes but does not guarantee resolution. Disputes between users are their responsibility.

    15. Reviews and Ratings

    Users may leave reviews and ratings of caregivers and families. Reviews must be honest and factual.

  • You agree not to post false, defamatory, or harassing reviews.
  • The Raising Club may remove reviews that violate these terms.
  • Both positive and negative reviews are welcome, but must be respectful.
  • Reviews do not constitute a contract or guarantee of future service.

    • 16. Insurance and Safety Responsibility

    The Raising Club does not provide insurance for caregiving services. Parents and organizations are responsible for obtaining appropriate childcare insurance or liability coverage.

  • Caregivers should obtain their own liability insurance.
  • Background checks do not guarantee child safety.
  • Parents must exercise due diligence when selecting caregivers.
  • The Raising Club is not liable for accidents, injuries, or misconduct by caregivers.

    • Safety concerns should be reported immediately to safety@theraisingclub.com.

    17. Accessibility

    The Raising Club is committed to providing an accessible platform for users with disabilities.

    If you encounter accessibility issues, please report them to support@theraisingclub.com.

    We continually work to improve accessibility and welcome feedback.

    18. Prohibited Activities

    You agree not to engage in any of the following activities on The Raising Club:

  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
  • Posting false or misleading information
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the platform
  • Using the platform for illegal purposes
  • Spamming or sending unsolicited messages
  • Collecting or attempting to collect personal data from other users
  • Reverse engineering or attempting to discover the platform's source code
  • Using automated tools to access the platform without permission
  • Impersonating another user or entity
  • Posting offensive, obscene, or inappropriate content
  • Selling or transferring your account to another person

    • Violation of any of these prohibited activities may result in immediate account termination.

    19. Data Security

    The Raising Club implements security measures to protect your data. However, no online platform is completely secure.

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and login credentials.

    Report any unauthorized access or security breaches to security@theraisingclub.com immediately.

    20. Changes to These Terms

    The Raising Club may change these terms at any time by posting updated terms on the platform.

    Your continued use of The Raising Club after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

    We recommend reviewing these terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.

    21. Entire Agreement

    These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Raising Club regarding the use of the platform.

    22. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Raising Club is based, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

    23. Severability

    If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

    24. Waiver

    The failure of The Raising Club to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

    The Raising Club's failure to take action regarding a breach does not waive our right to take action regarding future or other breaches.

    A waiver by The Raising Club must be in writing and signed by our authorized representative.

    26. No Employment Relationship

    The Raising Club does not create an employment relationship between parents and caregivers found on the platform.

    Parents are responsible for determining employment status and any legal obligations to caregivers.

    The Raising Club is a platform for connecting individuals and organizations.

    All employment-related matters, wages, and benefits are determined between users, not by The Raising Club.

    27. Third-Party Beneficiaries

    These Terms are for the benefit of The Raising Club and its users. No other party has any rights under these Terms.

    28. User Feedback

    The Raising Club welcomes feedback and suggestions. By providing feedback, you grant us the right to use your suggestions without compensation.

    29. Force Majeure

    The Raising Club is not liable for delays or failures in performance due to events beyond our control, including acts of God, natural disasters, or government actions.

    Identity Verification & Background Checks

    The Raising Club offers optional identity verification and background check services to caregivers through our third-party provider, Authenticate (authenticate.com). Participation is voluntary. Caregivers who complete verification receive a badge visible to families on the platform.

    • Consent:By initiating verification you agree to Authenticate's terms of service and authorise them to process your government-issued photo ID, biometric liveness data, and — if you request a background check — criminal record information.
    • Data processing: Authenticate is an independent data processor. The Raising Club receives only a pass/fail status and an expiry date. We do not receive or store raw identity documents, biometric templates, or detailed criminal report data.
    • Red flags:If a sex-offender registry match is detected, your profile will be immediately depublished and your account suspended pending admin review. Criminal records flagged for review are assessed by our Trust & Safety team before any action is taken.
    • Families & organisations: In the event a caregiver is removed for safety reasons, users who had active conversations with that caregiver may receive a notification that the caregiver is no longer available. No reason is disclosed.
    • Expiry: Verified badges expire according to the dates set by Authenticate. Caregivers must re-verify when their badge expires; families will not see an expired badge.
    • Limitations: Verification does not guarantee that a caregiver is suitable for your family. Always conduct your own due diligence, including interviews and reference checks, before hiring.
